American Breast Cancer Coalition PAC is a political organization (not a charity) established under section 527 of the IRS tax code. Our mission is to elect responsible public officials and educate Members of Congress as well as the public about issues related to breast cancer.
We have concerns that we are possibly being confused with other organizations with similar sounding names.
We would like to be completely transparent with who we are and what our goals are.
Below I have provided a copy of our thank you letter for these purposes. If you receive a phone call or letter that states anything different, then it is not from our organization.(mail may or may not include an additional Call to Action, such as a Letter for you Congressman or a Get out the Vote pamphlet)

Letter from the Treasurer
If you have ever had to care for some with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer like me, then you understand how physically and emotionally draining it can be. Wishing there was more you could do, not only for your loved one but for others that are experiencing the same thing. I felt there was more I should be doing, I support multiple non-profits and do have an appreciation for what they do, but after seeing the billions of dollars charities have raised for cancer research I don't know if we are any closer to a cure than we were 20 years ago. I believe the government needs to step in and take more action. So I reached out to a friend of mine that had previously run for Congress to discuss options I may have to help make a difference. That's when I decided to organize a 527 political committee to advocate for the passage of legislation fast tracking approval of life saving breast cancer treatment drugs through FDA. A simple Bill passed by Congress could have possibly saved my wife's life. She ultimately lost her battle with cancer in May, but I will continue to fight for other women like her and hopefully make a difference.
Sincerely, Bill Davis
